This document outlines the scope of work completed for the supply, installation, commissioning, and test running of two new generation units at the Bulashber Hydropower Station (HPP) in Astore, Gilgit-Baltistan. Installed Capacity

The project involved the installation of two small-scale generation units:

  • Number of Units: 2

  • Unit Capacity: 0.5MW(Megawatts) each

  • Total Installed Capacity: 1.0 MW (Megawatt)

The 1.0 MW capacity provides essential local power, significantly benefiting the Bulashber area and surrounding communities in the Astore region.

Scope of Work

The contractor, Mushtaq Ali Government Contractor Gilgit Baltistan, was responsible for the following comprehensive activities related to the 0.5 MW units:

  1. Supply: Procurement and delivery of all necessary mechanical, electrical, and civil components for the two 0.5 MW hydropower units.

  2. Installation: Complete physical installation of the turbines, generators, control systems, penstocks, and associated balance of plant equipment.

  3. Commissioning: Detailed functional testing of all installed equipment and systems to ensure they operate according to design specifications and safety standards.

  4. Test Running: A sustained period of operational performance testing to confirm the units’ reliability and stable output capacity prior to final handover.
